Ooh, you are rich in books! I read "A Distant Mirror" a while ago but I remember I liked it. Very interesting time period. And I *love* "How to Cook Everything," so I'm sure the veggie version is great too.
I'm a vegetarian trying to come up with fun ways to use all the veggies I get from my CSA (community supported agriculture). I also love running, reading (cookbooks and regular books) and PEANUT BUTTER.
